RECRUITMENT, SELECTION AND DEPLOYMENT PROCESS

Gold Icon pools its needed workforce mainly through these channels:
1. Branch Office in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan (Northeastern part of the Philippines)
2. Print Ads – newspapers and flyers
3. Special Recruitment Activities and Job Fairs in various parts of the nation
4. Internet search engines, websites, and online application
5. Walk-in applicants/referrals
B. Briefing and Orientation
Gold Icon extensively discuss each and every step and procedure to prospective applicants individually or by groups, prior to acceptance of their application or personal interviews by the employer or principals, in order to avoid confusion and ensure that they are briefed on the foreign principal’s profile. They are provided the knowledge of the country of destination and its basic laws and labor policies. This is to ensure also of their submission of needed and correct authentic documents.
C. Health Examinations
Every applicant is subjected to rigorous, complete medical examinations through accredited clinic to ensure that they are physically as well as psychologically fit to qualify for overseas employment.
D. Training and Trade Test
Household Service Workers undergo the minimum required training hours for their specific country of destination with certificate of attendance upon completion of the course required. They are rated based on each skill and learning level or capacity. For semi-skilled and skilled workers, actual trade tests are required as a means of qualifying them.
E. Documentation
Gold Icon assures its foreign principals the authenticity and validity of the applicants’ documents such as passports, NBI clearance, identifications, and school records. All documents are handled according to the existing government laws for legality. This includes areas of processing and facilitation of travel clearances or documents.
F. Processing
Gold Icon’s efficient workforce and its good standing with POEA and other countries’ embassies ensure fast processing of applicant’s documents. All necessary documents are collected and required in the shortest possible time to meet the foreign principal’s expected deployment schedule.
G. Pre-departure Briefing Seminars
Gold Icon provides behavioral guidelines to help the applicants adjust to their new working environment as well as with their employers. They are prepared psychologically to avoid unexpected terminations due to miscommunication and mistakes.
